Grand Cayman, 20 December 2023 – On Thursday, December 7, 2023, Cayman Career Academy
(CCA) collaborated with Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) and held another
successful graduation for participants from the 2023 cohorts with fifty-one (51) unique graduates, with
twelve (12) embarking on multiple certifications. The ceremony was held at the Grand Cayman Marriott
Resort and was attended by many delightful guests, including the distinguished graduates, parents, friends,
WORC and the Scholarship Secretariat dignitaries.

The 2023 WORC scholarships for this graduating cohort prepared Caymanians for the job market. WORC
sponsored forty-four (44) unique students from the graduating class. Thirty-two (32) students received a
single award, ten (10) students received two awards, and two (2) students received three awards:

  • CIDESCO DIPLOMA in Professional Nail Services – 4 graduates

prestigious exam and WORC a proud sponsor.

Principal Ms. Jacqui Tomlinson-Smith addressed the graduates and stated, “We are so proud of all our
students. Several are working mothers and found a way to further their education so they can now work in
this fast growing and lucrative Beauty Industry.” She also thanked WORC, especially Ms. Kimone
Chambers and Ms. Allison Anglin, and Scholarship Secretariat (Ministry of Education), CCA amazing
lecturers, Ms. Wendy Lynch and Mrs. Hannah Taylor, and her three children, Renee Whorms, Vaughan
and Christina Smith, for granting them another good year at CCA.
