Certificate in Body Therapy

AIM OF THE COURSE

This certificate provides candidates the required information to be able to efficiently and effectively work as body therapists and perform body treatments with electrical treatments and massage.

PRE-REQUISITE

The CIDESCO Certificate in Body Therapy is available to any candidates.

SKILLS INCLUDE:

•  Body analysis
•  Anatomy and physiology, with focus on muscle function, innervation and attachments
•  Electrical equipment
•  Body massage

TRAINING

Candidates are required to have completed a course of at least 565 hours at a registered CIDESCO School covering all subjects in the CIDESCO Body Therapy Syllabus. However, at CCA we offer extra training up to 700 hours where students are taught various advanced massage techniques.

EXAMINATION

All candidates must have undertaken at least 4 school examinations (2 Practical and 2 Theory) during their training before being eligible to sit their CIDESCO examination.

The examination for the Certificate in Body Therapy consists of three parts:

•  Theoretical examination – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) exam
• Practical examination
• Theoretical examination – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) exam
• Project with Case Histories
